Start with a free preview, always

Every book on Crystal Hearts® Press has a free preview. You don't need an account to open one — just tap a cover on the Discover page and start reading. You'll get the opening pages of every book, no strings attached.

I wanted it this way because a blurb only tells you so much. The only honest way to know if a book is for you is to read a little of it. So that's what we let you do.

The magazine: a £1 issue, or join the book club

Once a month we publish Crystal Hearts® Spiritual and Wellness Magazine — a lead wellbeing feature, horoscopes for all twelve signs, and themed stories that tie the whole Crystal Heart world together.

Every article shows its hero image and opening paragraph free. To read the rest of an issue you have two choices:

• Join our book club — a free account that saves the issue to your profile, so you can come back to it any time.
• Unlock this issue for £1 — a one-time payment that keeps that issue yours forever.

Our very first issue carries a Special Inaugural Issue badge, because we're only just beginning and I wanted to mark it.

The book club: small perks, no pressure

Why we built it this way

I'd spent too long on platforms that either locked everything behind a subscription before I'd read a word, or gave everything away and paid the writers nothing. I wanted a middle path: a real free preview, a pound for an issue, and a subscription that actually reaches the author whose book you read.
